Men's Bible Study

Fellowship Hall
The Book of Ecclesiastes

What’s the Point?
Chasing after a life that matters.

To those who might ask, does the Bible respond to our most pressing, personal, and even painful questions?  Does it address the problems and realities that produce such great anxiety and initiate so many personal discouragements in life?  Is there a place I can go in the Bible that helps me understand the point of what often appears so pointless?  Simple answer:  yes!

Nowhere is meaning in life and the reality of needing to make sense of life described in a more realistic, straightforward and insightful way than in the Book of Ecclesiastes.  Along with life’s realities comes the clearly explained design of God for our lives.   Without this all important “sixth sense”, there really is no long term point.

There is ultimate meaning to pursuing a life of wisdom, purpose, significance, wealth, pleasure and even enjoyment – but only when the point of life is understand from God’s perspective.  Rise early each week, be involved in the encouragement and challenge of Bible study with other men, and together we’ll discover the keys to living a life that matters.

Our Winter/Spring Bible study is open to all men.  We meet every Tuesday morning, beginning promptly at 6:30am in Fellowship Hall.  Imagine this – fresh morning coffee, bagels/doughnuts, Bible Study, encouragement, prayer, discussion, and friendship – all in one hour.

Discipleship Groups

Our men’s ministry emphasizes growth through the community, encouragement, support, and accountability of small groups that provide a confidential & non-threatening environment.  Discipleship small groups, using the Navigator 2:7 series, meet at various times throughout the week.

Saturday Morning of Prayer
Last Saturday of the Month
8:00 am - 12:00 Noon
Atrium Board Room

On each last Saturday of each month, there is opportunity to join with other men in spending extended time with God in prayer—away from the cell phone, email, and the pressure of life.  Even if you can only attend for a couple hours, please feel free to participate.

Prayer begins as a large group.  Men then go off separately throughout the church for several hours of prayer and reflection with the Lord.  We have the material available to help guide this time alone with God. At the end of the morning, the group regroups to pray and share about the time of prayer and reflection upon God and His Word.

Bagels, Coffee and Juice are provided.
