Brian Atkins does everything Middle School at HPBC. Ask him and Brian will tell you quickly about the multiple loves in his life: communicating the Word of God to young people in fresh and applicable ways, music and worship - old and new styles, building relationships with young people by hanging out with them - talking and helping them work through their stage in life, and his great wife, Jennifer, who is a caring Special Needs teacher. Brian and Jennifer celebrated the birth of their first child, Elliana, in the summer of 2007.

Before joining the staff in the summer of 2006, Brian served as a Worship Director at a church plant in Novi, Student Ministry Intern here at HPBC for two years, and a volunteer staff leader at HPBC for six years. He's a busy man finishing theological studies at Michigan Theological Seminary in his "spare time."

After Jennifer, Elliana, students, studies, and dog "Murphy," you'll find him coaching soccer, shooting hoops, or trying to win at fantasy baseball and football. "As far as music, it is all good . . . unless it's country."
