At Highland Park we love Cathy Tanana's humorous, honest, and insightful style as Director of Women's Ministries. After-hours she leads Bible Studies for the spouses and girlfriends of Detroit Tiger baseball players. Her enthusiasm for the game comes from her 29-year marriage to Frank, former all-star pitcher and now all-star witness for Christ.

Raised in Long Beach, California, where she studied dance at Long Beach State, Cathy met Frank when he played for the California Angels. After crisscrossing the country with stops in Boston, Texas, and New York, Frank finished his long and successful career in hometown Detroit. The family still resides in neighboring Farmington Hills.

God has graciously extended Cathy and Frank's Christian ministry far beyond our campus to sports locations around the country. The family has grown, too. They are proud parents of four daughters, three sons-in-law, and a granddaughter.
