*Pray for the SALT India Men’s Team as they leave Friday for India. Pray that each team member will guard his walk with Christ and have a servant’s heart. Pray that the pastors in India would be refreshed and strengthened during the conference, and that Christ would be glorified as He grows His church around the world.
*Pray for A.W. (Eurasia) as she returns on Monday to her country following a 7 month stay stateside. Pray for her mom who recently lost her husband and her ex-father-in-law. Pray that she will find comfort in the God of all comfort. Pray that A. will be refreshed and renewed to delve into the language and good fellowship as she translates in an English speaking church.
*Pray for and congratulate Nan & Will Grant (pre-field with MAF going to Asia)—new missionaries to HPBC. They just welcomed a new healthy baby girl, Gracie Jane, on 9/24! However, Nan was hospitalized with 2 infections 3 days ago, but is off IV meds now and hopes to go home today. The Grants will head to Idaho on Monday so that Will can do additional training in airline mechanics. They have around 70% of their support promised and hope to leave for the field early next year. *Andy & Holly Rist (SEND Int’l on home assignment from Ukraine) are happy to report that Andrew’s eye surgery has healed up very well. Continue to pray for Abigail’s ear to heal—they are still waiting to hear about further extensive surgery. Pray for them this month as they spend it in Ohio connecting with other supporters and Holly’s mom.
*Jon & Jenni Davis (WorldVenture on home assignment from Uganda) ask for prayer as they articulate their passion for Ugandans as they share with individuals and churches. Pray for the planning as they work on details in partnering with Sarah Pisney to start an internship program when they all return next June. Pray for them as they participate in Moody Missions Conference next week and then travel to Washington to connect with churches for the next couple weeks, and for their 2 kids to travel well. They are thankful for the various communities God has given them (grandparents, SS classes, AWANA, Bible studies, etc.) while they are in Wheaton, IL.
*Pray for Jill Daniels (new wife of Steve Daniels and daughter-in-law of Pete & Irene) and a new short-term missionary with Campus Crusade (now called “Cru”) as she works on 3 community college campuses in Chicago. Pray for Cru’s boat cruise outreach – that many students would come out to hear the Gospel. Pray for Steve’s Muslim boss and the high school guys at their church that he ministers to weekly. Pray for a Godly marriage as they seek to impact students for Christ.
*Glenn & Linn Boese (WorldVenture in Ivory Coast) ask for wisdom in choosing priorities each day. Linn in checking drafts of the “Life of Moses” in Nyarafolo to send to the consultant and Glenn is dividing his time between mission treasurer work, church involvements, and helping at the hospital. Due to political changes and stresses, government medical centers are sending all their surgeries and many other cases to the mission hospital. The beds are constantly full, with patients waiting. Pray for a short-term team from a church in Saginaw that is there to help put in wiring and floor at the Tiepogovogo church, and to paint a mural on the mission wall. Pray for safety and effective ministry for them this final week they’re there.
*Kirk & Cindy Flanegan (The Seed Co. in NC) ask for prayer for the repair work on 2 apts. and the JAARS Boutique when they were flooded in July. The Construction and Maintenance department hope to be finished with the work this month. As Cindy and her staff restock the Boutique, let her know (Cindy_Flanegan@tsco.org) if you have new or gently used items you would like to donate. Pray for Cindy’s mom, Myra, who continues to struggle with CLL—a form of leukemia. Also, pray for Kirk & Cindy’s work assignments with TSC, as adjustments are being made with the development team—pray for wisdom and strength to serve well.
