*N. & S. G. (Asia) asked for prayer last week as N. took a trip to the foothills to look at an airstrip a missionary had been building among a very isolated tribe. It was an unforgettable experience as people of Pipal greeted them and Paulus, one of the first Christians from this group wept with joy after praying for so many years to see his people have an airstrip. Pray for wisdom as N. looks at another airplane to perhaps add to their fleet, and then stops on his way home for a post-surgical check-up and flight physical.
*Continue to pray for Steve & Marcia Strauss (former missionaries w/SIM), as he was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He has begun his chemo regimen and surgery will likely follow in several weeks. Pray for the effectiveness of the treatment and God’s continued grace in the process. *Scott & Lorna Muha (TEAM in Spain) want to thank you for all your prayers for them as a family and for Lorna’s dad, Clay. Clay left this world at 6:30pm yesterday and is now with his Lord for eternity. A memorial service will be held tomorrow. Please remember to pray for them over the next few days as the family gathers together. Scott will be sharing in the service and would appreciate prayer that God would speak through him as they celebrate his life. Please also remember Doris. They would have been married 66 years this June, so the adjustments for her will be monumental.
*Scott & Hanne Larson (Straight Ahead Ministries in MA) ask for prayer for God’s clear leading for 2 positions they have open. They are in need of a street worker in Worchester, MA and a Coordinator for all of their programs in MA juvenile jails. Also, pray for God’s hand to stop the violence that is spiking in Lynn and Worcester, where they run ministries.
*Pray for Jon & Jen Davis (WorldVenture on home assignment from Uganda). Jon is in Uganda now hosting a couple for a vision trip, doing research for the business side of the internship ministry, and joining in the 50th anniversary celebrations for WV’s work in Uganda. Pray for safety as he travels, extra patience for Jen and security for the kids without Jon for 2 weeks. They will be joining us for our GMF.
*J. & M. R. are thankful for your prayers for Gratl – 17 yr. old daughter of one of their cell group members. She was offered the internship job before the interview process really began. Pray that this unbeliever will be drawn to the Lord and see God’s hand in her life.
*A.W. asks for prayer for the country of Turkey. Five yrs. ago today, 3 brothers in Christ lost their lives while serving the Lord there—murdered for their faith.
