The goal of the women's ministry at HPBC is to encourage women in every season of life, to develop and maintain a vital relationship with Jesus Christ through the study of His Word, to provide opportunities to build friendships with other women, and to train and equip women for outreach and service to others. In an attempt to accomplish these purposes, we offer a variety of studies and events for women of all ages. Women's Bible FellowshipSunday morning, 10:15am If you are looking for a wonderful class for women only, this is it! The class involves women of all walks of life, sharing in the common desire to develop sincere and warm relationships, to grow in their love for God, and a willingness to be doers of the Word and not hearers only. We will be studying the book of Mark. Deeper RootsTuesday morning, 9:30 – 11:15 am We are going through every book in the Book! Please come and join us as we continue our study in the book of Luke. You’ll share in prayer time and table discussion, tremendous goodies and coffee and tea provided. Our goal together is to establish Deeper Roots in God’s Word and encourage each other along the way. Missions With A HeartSix Tuesday luncheons: Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16, Feb 15, Mar. 22, Apr. 19. Come for a delicious luncheon and hear from members of our missionary families as they share their experiences both on and off the mission field. Learn things up-close and personal that you just couldn’t learn elsewhere. Lunch is $6.00 at the door. Childcare is available. Explorers Bible StudyWednesdays, 10:00-11:30am We will study Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Numbers and Joshua in two ways:
Explorers is for any woman, any age, passionate about exploring the Word of God with others. It is appropriate for beginners, as well as those experienced with studying God’s Word. A written commentary is provided to give further insight into the Scripture. Course materials are $60 (for three books). Childcare is available. A Beth Moore StudyWednesday evenings, Sept. 15 – Dec. 8, 7:00 – 8:30 Living Beyond Yourself – The Fruit of the Spirit. Participants will walk through each trait listed in the fruit and encourages women to know the freedom of the spirit-filled life. You will be challenged to develop the fruit by maintaining an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God. Nursery, kids clubs and youth groups available. A Kay Arthur StudyWednesday, 7:00-8:30 pm 2 Timothy – A Study in Discipleship Paul entrusted the Gospel to Timothy and others. Are you guarding the treasure of the Word that has been entrusted to you? Youth group, kids club and nursery available. MOTSMoms of Tots Join other moms of preschool children (0-5 yrs.) for a morning of fun and helpful insight, dealing with topics that pertain to your specific stage of life, through a biblical perspective. Be sure to invite friends and neighbors! Crafting CornerMonthly Meetings, 7- 11:00 pm Come join us each month for an evening of fun and fellowship. Bring your scrapbooks, stamping projects, needlepoint or whatever craft you are working on and spend the evening working on your project and fellowshipping with other women. Bring a snack to share. Mother/Daughter Evening RetreatFriday, October 15, 2010 More information coming soon. Advent by CandlelightThursday Evening, December 2, 7:00PM This meaningful service is for each of us as we prepare for the rich season of Christmas. Come into a candlelit sanctuary for a meaningful program and then into Fellowship hall to view beautifully decorated tables and enjoy coffee and dessert. We encourage you to invite family and friends as this is an outreach event sharing the real meaning of the season. Ladies Night OutWatch for “specials” that will be announced through the year. We will be offering a wide range of topics that will interest women from every stage of life.
